Total Hair Care
What a beautiful sight it is to see a lady smiling while the soft wind sways through her beautiful locks. And not only do men love to see this, but even women love their hair. For them, hair care is the most important thing, and then skin care. There is no denying that women can do anything and everything to save their hair. The only motivating factor to keep their hair healthy and beautiful is their own mind.
It is a known fact that women suffer from mood swings, which every man wants to avoid. But even when they have a destructive state of mind, they make sure that nothing bad happens to their hair. When they are angry, they decide to get a haircut, but even then, they are careful with every inch of their hair. Never touch their hair or you will have to face the woman’s wrath!
The thing that makes a woman grumpy beyond a man’s expectations is the hair problem. We are aware of hair problems such as
hair loss
Dandruff
brittle and curly hair
Split ends
Oily scalp
Stopped hair growth after a while.
These problems are very common and it goes without saying that they require special attention. There are many natural treatments for these problems, which we can apply regularly, but before that, we need to know what we already use. The hair care products we use must be chosen wisely and not just because we see their advertisements on TV.
Most of us are unaware that our shampoos and conditioners contain chemicals that are harmful to our hair or not suitable for our hair type. The most important thing to keep in mind when it comes to hair care is to know your hair type. There are different types of products that are used for different hair types. Let’s know our hair care products and see if they really take care of our hair or if they slowly destroy it.
- Check the ingredients in your product – make sure your product contains as few surfactants, or foam-forming chemicals, as possible. People with oily scalps should not randomly pick up a foaming shampoo. Avoid using products that contain SLS (Sodium Laurel/Laurel Sulphate). This chemical forms a good lather, but you should know that it is used in industrial detergents! Keep your hair from getting damaged There is a natural surf called Reetha also called Areetha. You can break two balls of reetha and mix them with water, stir a little, and it will form enough foam to clean your scalp. Those who have a dry scalp should choose a very natural shampoo that will not make their scalp dry and flaky… This is how the chemical composition is checked: those written first have the largest amount in this shampoo, and those written last are used in small amounts.
Hair loss is caused by what is commonly used in conditions, shampoos and hair gels. They give a deceptive shine to the hair, but in reality, they destroy the proteins and healthy cells that are the basis of hair growth and maintenance. For shiny hair, use oils instead of chemicals.
- Check for parabens and formaldehyde – this is a preservative used in beauty products. It is harmful because it seeps into the hair and skin, and interferes with the endocrine system, causing premature aging and white hair. We need to be aware of all the chemicals that cause damage not only to the hair, but also to the skin and our internal system. Formaldehyde is a very harmful chemical that is used for hair straightening. Some shampoos contain formaldehyde to help people have frizz-free hair. Beware of keratin straightening shampoos, as they contain formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is very damaging to hair and also causes throat irritation, coughing, skin rashes, vision problems and nasal problems. Long-term use can cause dermatitis and excessive use over long periods can also be carcinogenic.
- Choose your oils wisely – If you oil your hair regularly and still suffer from hair problems, it’s time to know which oil to use. Not all oils are for greasing your hair. Nature is rich in healthy nutrients and minerals for our diet. Use them wisely. If you want frizz-free hair, instead of using harsh shampoos containing formaldehyde, you can use argon oil, also known as Moroccan oil. It also acts as a healthy and natural conditioner. It does not make your hair greasy, but acts as a good serum. We have already read above that hair loss is caused by the chemical called Propylene Glycol (PG), and oils should be used instead of chemicals. Jojoba oil controls hair loss by regenerating the roots and cellular structure of the hair. Avoid shampoos that contain alcohol (isopropyl, cetyl, stearyl, oleyl, etc.). Alcohol is used in dandruff shampoos, but it is very harmful to the hair and scalp as it can also be excessively drying and cause fungal and bacterial infections. Tea tree oil is a very effective oil for keeping bacteria and fungi away from our scalp. It is an anti-dandruff, non-greasy oil.
If you want thick hair with good volume, then start massaging with castor oil. It is a very greasy and thick oil, which has a hard time settling in the pores, so it is suggested to use it with coconut oil, olive oil and almond oil. The mixture of these three oils is the best hair care product. If you have a dandruff problem, then you can simply cut a lemon and squeeze it in the mustard oil and massage it gently on your scalp.
- What chemicals are allowed for hair – We understand that we cannot completely get rid of the hair care products from the market like shampoos due to the changing environmental conditions. Therefore, it is suggested to look for PANTHENOL, the chemical equivalent of vitamin B in the products. Also check for citric acid, which easily cleanses the scalp and helps us to have a healthy hair cuticle. It gives a natural shine to the hair. Shea butter is good for giving natural shine to the hair. So we can use a conditioner with a mixture of oils and shea butter without worrying about the side effects.
We now know all the chemicals that harm our hair, the natural products that can be used for healthy hair and the chemicals that do not cause any potential damage to our beautiful curls.
